We were introduced to Australian Labradoodles by wonderful friends and they have been bringing joy to our lives ever since. Our adventure started out with us being a guardian home for one of these great dogs and we have never looked back. Australian labradoodles are an amazing breed with so many wonderful qualities. We must extend a HUGE thanks to Lori of Australian Labradoodles of PA for getting us started with this extraordinary breed and mentoring us all the way.
The development of this breed started in the 1980’s in Australia. The founding breeds were primarily the Poodle and Labrador. Breeders sought after the Poodle’s allergy friendly non-shedding coat, and intelligence and the Labrador’s loyal and gentle family friendly demeanor. After many years of selective breeding the dog now loving known as the Australian Labradoodle was developed. Australian Labradoodles are:

Coat Types

Wool: Dense tight curls, non-shedding, requires grooming, most allergy friendly
